COUPLES THERAPY
You don't end up in the same argument over and over because you don't love each other.
You end up there because somewhere along the way, you stopped feeling safe enough to really hear each other.
This work is about getting that back — not by assigning blame, but by understanding what's actually happening between you and both of your nervous systems when things go sideways.

Seem familiar?
Repetitive Patterns
The same fight, on repeat, just wearing a different outfit each time.
Disconnection
You've drifted into roommate territory and you're not sure how to close the gap.
Life Transitions
You're facing a big transition — a baby, a move, a loss — and it's straining the relationship.
Attachment Wounding
One of you shuts down or leaves the room; the other chases for resolution.
Trust Issues
Trust has taken a hit and you don't know how to rebuild it or where to start.
Feeling Lost, Together
You love each other, but you're tired of feeling unheard, or unseen, or alone even when you're together.

I don't take sides, and I'm not here to declare a winner. My job is to slow the conversation down enough that you can actually hear what's underneath it — usually something much softer and more vulnerable than the argument on the surface suggests.
A lot of relationship conflict isn't really about logic. It's the nervous system taking over — old protective patterns and stress responses from each of you colliding in real time. So alongside talking, we work with the body: noticing when you've shut down, when you're flooded or in freeze, when you're bracing for a fight that hasn't even started yet. Once you can both recognize that happening in the moment, you have a real choice about what to do next — instead of running the same old script.
I'll check in with each of you individually within sessions, so it never feels like two against one, or like one of you is being managed while the other watches.

I work at the intersection of counselling and somatic therapy.
I work this way because I have found it is the most effective way to help people move out of chronic survival mode, self-regulate their over-stimulated nervous system and tap into the innate wisdom of their body.
What we'll actually do together
Expect a mix of honest conversation, structured communication tools, and somatic work — noticing what's happening in your body, not just your head, when things get hard. Some sessions will go deep into a specific conflict. Others will focus on rebuilding the small, everyday moments of connection that tend to disappear under stress. We move at whatever pace the relationship actually needs.
